The III International Khankendi Ultramarathon concluded on 11 October, bringing together 97 athletes from six countries for a four-stage race covering 192 km from Gabala to Khankendi.
As the Main Partner of the event, Financial Chain Corporation (FCHAIN) was represented by Valid Huseynov, Deputy General Manager, who took part in the award ceremony, presenting medals and gifts to the athletes.
Georgian runner David Kharazishvili claimed the overall title in the men’s category, while Ukraine’s Olena Shevchenko secured first place among women.
Farid Gayibov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Youth and Sports, highlighted the growing participation in the ultramarathon, noting that women accounted for approximately 25% of this year’s participants. He also emphasized the significance of hosting sporting events in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories.
Through its partnership, FCHAIN continues to support initiatives that promote an active lifestyle, encourage sporting excellence and showcase Azerbaijan’s regions through international sporting events.
