The state listened to businesses, more specifically, in this case, to jewelry manufacturers. As support for local jewelry manufacturers, the state has proposed a VAT exemption for the purchase of gold and silver, which should help in unequal competition with importers of precious products.
The minimum turnover for VAT registration will increase due to the increase in the MCI to 3450 tenge from 2023, and the amount will be 69 000 000 tenge. The threshold was 61 260 000 tenge in 2022.
