This time we will talk about the heroes behind the scenes – marshals, who more closely follow the course of events in the great speed race, but during the races, perhaps not many people know and see them. Teymur Akhundov, marshal of the 2024 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Director of the Financial Chain Corporation Czechia Office is one of them.

First of all, it should be noted that marshalling is a voluntary activity, the word “Marshal” means “reliable person”, “providing gratuitous help”.

Teymur Akhundov also performed excellently in the race as a marshal of the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2024. Teymur Akhundov is the deputy team leader of the Recovery Team, as well as the leader of the 2nd zone. The second zone includes from the 3rd to the 7th turn of the ring and from the 19th turn to point 20.5. Teymur Akhundov also actively participates in competitions held in other countries, including Bahrain, Italy and Belgium. The competition held in Baku this year was the 15th for Teymur Akhundov.

“Anyone can be a marshal, but marshals must be responsible, careful, flexible and able to make the right decision at the time of an incident. Marshals are versatile people who are able to cope with various situations that may arise during a race. Marshals play a huge role in the organization and holding of all Formula 1 races around the world. Among the organizers, we should also mention the Baku City Circle and the Baku Marshals Club. On the other hand, it is gratifying that today I represent the Financial Chain Corporation as a marshal of the 2024 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix,” shared his opinion Teymur Akhundov, Director of FCHAIN Czechia.

It should be noted that in the Formula 1 world marshals are also called “Race Officials”. Their work is vital to ensure the safety of Formula 1 drivers and the administrative organization of the entire marshal team.
