The number of vacancies on online employment platforms decreased in the first quarter of 2025. According to recent research the first quarter of this year was characterized by 6% less activity compared to the same period last year.
In the first quarter of 2025, approximately 12,000 vacancies were posted on the platform. Compared to the previous year, the sharpest decrease was observed in March – 17% fewer vacancies were posted on the website. In April, the decrease is relatively mild and amounts to 10%, although there is a 1% increase compared to March.
As for to June and July, there is cautious optimism in the employment market. Traditionally, this period sees increased hiring activity as companies prepare their workforce for the typically slower summer months of July and August. The hospitality (HoReCa) and retail sectors are especially active, with the majority of postings targeting high-turnover roles such as waitstaff, bartenders, and cooks.
