Gymnastics club “Pro Sport” recently celebrated its first anniversary, and what a year it has been! Established in September 2022, the club made a significant impact in its very first year of operation.
Co-founder and head coach of “Pro Sport,” Leyla Guseynli, in a conversation with azerisport.com, shared insights about the club’s successful first year and how they celebrated this milestone.
“We celebrated our birthday in a spectacular, fun, and grandiose manner! Thanks to our main sponsor, Financial Chain Corporation, we organized a big party for the kids. Guests were treated to a two-hour show program, featuring performances by our club’s students and trainers.”
Reflecting on the past year, Leyla Guseynli described it as highly productive and eventful. “Over the past year, more than 150 new students joined our club. Naturally, we also expanded our coaching staff. During this time, we were able to organize two major tournaments, and our students participated in international competitions and the Summer Spartakiad. We also conducted open lessons for parents.”
Leyla Guseynli reminisced about the club’s beginnings a year ago, saying, “Of course, there were certain challenges that we overcame. At this moment, we are full of motivation. We feel excitement before each of our events, and that’s normal because we want to deliver everything at the highest level.”
According to the head coach, their gymnasts have made significant progress over the past year. “We are proud of the tremendous growth in our gymnasts’ skills. We have managed to come together as a cohesive team and are ready for new, more challenging beginnings. We want to express our gratitude to the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation for their significant contribution to the development of gymnastics in our country. We hope that the ‘Pro Sport’ team will excel in city and national competitions. We also have exciting news to share: we have opened a travel agency called ‘Pro Travel,’ and we are thrilled about it.”
It’s worth noting that “Pro Sport” offers artistic gymnastics classes for girls, acrobatics for boys, as well as ballet and choreography for girls.
