On June 11, 2025, a forum dedicated to the discussion of questions and proposals regarding the improvement of the tax system was held with the participation of Samira Musayeva, Deputy Head of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The forum was organized by the Caspian Energy Club and one of the moderators was Valid Huseynov, Deputy General Director of Financial Chain Corporation (FCHAIN). Approximately 100 company owners and various officials of the State Tax Service participated in the event.
Samira Musayeva noted that last year, more than 15.8 billion manats in taxes were paid to the state budget. Including payments for social insurance, unemployment insurance and mandatory health insurance, the State Tax Service managed to ensure a total of 22.8 billion manats in fiscal collections. She also noted that one of the main goals outlined in the “Strategy of the State Tax Service for 2025–2028” is to ensure a high level of accessibility and compliance for taxpayers.
During the event, the issues related to the improvement of tax administration were discussed. Questions regarding the challenges faced by the entrepreneurs were answered by representatives of the State Tax Service. A number of proposals concerning amendments to the Tax Code were recorded and the suggestions were taken into consideration.
