First Meeting of the Ministers Responsible for Environment and Ecology of the Turkic States Organization (TDT) Held in Baku
The meeting was attended by environment ministers from TDT member states and the TDT Secretary General, Ambassador Kubanıçbek Omuraliyev. In his opening speech, the Secretary General thanked those supporting efforts to create a collaborative framework for environmental and ecological cooperation within TDT.
Ambassador Omuraliyev also referenced the “Turkish Green Vision”, which was adopted during the 11th TDT Summit in Bishkek on November 6, 2024, highlighting the importance of strengthening multilateral cooperation on climate change.
The meeting concluded with the signing of the Baku Declaration, in which the participating states expressed their commitment to developing both short-term and long-term strategies on environmental issues, including biodiversity and climate change. The parties also agreed that the next meeting would be held in Kazakhstan in 2025.
