The deadline for the second installment payments of the 2024 Motor Vehicles Tax (MTV) is approaching. The payment period, which affects millions of vehicle owners, ends on July 31.

Second Installment of Motor Vehicles Tax (MTV) Payment Deadline Approaches

The payment period for the second installment of the Motor Vehicles Tax (MTV) began on July 1. The deadline for this payment is Wednesday, July 31. MTV payments can be made at tax offices, PTT (Turkish Post), and bank branches. Additionally, payments can also be made through the digital tax office, bank websites, or mobile apps.

4.5% Late Fee for Late Payments

Taxpayers need to complete the necessary procedures before the payment deadline. For those who do not make their payments by July 31, a monthly late fee of 4.5% will be applied. If the debt is not paid on time, the tax office may initiate an e-attachment process.

Additionally, Tax Debts Must Be Paid for Vehicle Inspections

To have vehicle inspections carried out, any tax debts, including the Motor Vehicles Tax (MTV), must be settled. The deadline for the second installment of the 2023 Income Tax is also ending on Wednesday, July 31.
