European Athletics CEO Conference held in Baku

FCHAIN – Main Partner of the Azerbaijan Athletics Federation

Baku recently hosted the European Athletics member federation leaders conference. Held on April 15 at the Baku Marriott Hotel Boulevard, this prestigious event brought together athletics officials and executives from across Europe.

During the opening ceremony, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov highlighted the vital role such meetings play in overall development. Javid Gurbanov, President of the Azerbaijan Athletics Federation, welcomed the guests and wished the conference success. Dobromir Karamarinov, President of European Athletics, gave special recognition to Azerbaijan’s active partnership and the high level of organization.

The working sessions focused on new projects regarding digitalization and fan engagement. Representatives from Slovenia, Spain, Denmark, Finland, and Germany shared their expertise in management, financial models, and human resources. With more than 50 delegates from 32 countries and various government officials in attendance, the event sparked important discussions about the future of athletics.
