Tbilisi (Georgia) hosted the 11th Caspian Energy Investment Forum, Tbilisi 2023, on February 20, 2023, jointly organized by the Caspian Energy Club and Caspian Energy Georgia. The official support for the event was provided by the embassies of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Georgia and Georgia in Azerbaijan. Assistant Tour was the golden sponsor of the forum.
More than 5000 companies and organizations from 50 countries of the world are the member of the Caspian Energy Club, established in 2002, the main goal of which is active participation in the “business-government” dialogue, improvement of the investment and business environment in Azerbaijan and other countries the Caspian Energy Club operates in, etc.
The main purpose of the forum was to study investment and business opportunities of the members of the Caspian Energy Club, companies and organizations from Azerbaijan and other countries in Georgia, and Georgian companies in Azerbaijan and other countries where the Caspian Energy Club operates, and an increase in turnover between these two countries.
The forum consisted of two panels. The second panel was dedicated to the “Development of Economic Relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia in the Non-Oil Sector.” Tengiz Kalandadze, Head of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development Department of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Vladimer Khundadze, Deputy Head of the Revenue Service of Georgia (GRC) under the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, Zviad Chumburidze, Secretary General, EU-Georgia Business Council, Shabnam Allahverdiyeva, Executive Director of AZPROMO, Javid Abdullayev, Head of the Agency for Renewable Energy under the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan, Nugzar Khaindrava, Deputy General Director, Project Management Director of JSC ”Energy Development Fund of Georgia,” and Suleyman Majidli were among the speakers.
Representatives of more than 200 state structures, diplomatic and international missions, top managers of state bodies, and private companies from the countries of the Caspian and Black Sea regions took part in the forum.
Zaur Gadirov, Chairman of Caspian Energy Czechia, Managing Partner of Financial Chain Corporation, and Ella Lekishvili, FCHAIN Country Manager in Georgia, participated in the 11th CASPIAN ENERGY INVESTMENT FORUM TBILISI.
Faig Guliyev, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Azerbaijan Republic, was among the participants. Speaking at the event, Mr. Guliyev expressed his hope for the forum to be productive and contribute to the development of trade and economic relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia. He stated that the trade turnover amounted to 1.3 billion dollars between these two countries in 2022, and investments by Georgian companies in the economy of Azerbaijan were tens of millions.
At the end of the session, all the speakers were awarded certificates of appreciation for their support in the 11th International CASPIAN ENERGY INVESTMENT FORUM TBILISI 2023 by Natig Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of Caspian Energy Georgia, who was a moderator in the event.
