President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon signed a decree declaring 2025-2030 the “Years of Digital Economy and Innovation Development.”
The Tajik president’s official website says the government has been instructed to develop and submit an action plan for implementing this initiative within a month.
Key directions include:
· Developing a regulatory framework for digital economy growth and innovation regulation.
· Introducing 5G technologies to enhance data transfer speeds and improve digital services.
· Digitalizing public services to simplify access and increase transparency.
· Promoting artificial intelligence and integrating it into the economy and governance.
· Ensuring cybersecurity, data protection, and mitigating digital threats.
· Developing digital entrepreneurship and e-commerce, stimulating innovation, and creating jobs in IT.
