Among the sector indices, construction showed the highest gain with 2.13 percent, while sports recorded the highest loss with 2.35 percent.

Analysts noted a mixed trend in global stock markets, indicating that signals from the data released in the United States suggest that the fight against inflation in the country could last longer than expected. Today, analysts mentioned that weekly money and banking statistics will be monitored domestically, while personal consumption expenditures and the University of Michigan Consumer Confidence Index data will be watched internationally. From a technical standpoint, analysts stated that the levels of 10,000-10,100 are resistance levels for the BIST 100 index, while 9,700 and 9,600 points serve as support levels.
