The Kyrgyz Parliament Approves First Reading of Bill to Amend Double Taxation Agreement with South Korea

The Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic has passed in the first reading a bill to amend the agreement with South Korea on the avoidance of double taxation.

On March 12, deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh reviewed and passed the first reading of a bill on the ratification of a protocol amending the agreement between Kyrgyzstan and South Korea.

The document concerns the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of tax evasion. The original agreement was signed in Seoul on December 11, 2012, and the amendments were made on December 3, 2024.

Deputy Minister of Economy Nazarbek Malaev presented the bill, emphasizing that ratifying the protocol will improve tax regulation between Kyrgyzstan and Korea.
