The International Human Rights Day

The 10th of December became International Human Rights Day after the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations General Assembly in 1948, after the Second World War, which caused barbarous acts. Eleanor Roosevelt, the longest-serving First Lady in the world, whose husband had had four terms of the presidency (1933-1945), was an American Politician, diplomat, and activist, who served as a United Nations spokeswoman. Representatives of the 50 member states of the UN came together under her guidance in 1948, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted, giving the organization a unique mandate in the promotion and protection of human rights. And the world started to celebrate December 10.

Volker Türk is the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, who has been officially functioning since October 17, 2022, and has devoted many long years to the protection and development of human rights. Mr. Türk has also served as a representative of UNHCR in Malaysia, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Congo, and Kuwait.

The 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Human Rights Declaration is to be celebrated in December 2023, and the UNHCR will conduct a year-long campaign for the protection of human rights in the world next year.

The slogan of the UN for Human Rights for this year is: “Dignity, Freedom, and justice for ALL.”

Human rights are very important in every sphere of life, as human beings are responsible for the existence of the Earth, its environment, biodiversity, ecology, and the lives of all living beings on our planet. Should human rights be violated, it will lead to a loss of confidence in the legal systems, as well as hope in justice and life. So, the protection of human rights is crucial for the existence of human beings, which means the existence of our planet.

One of the priorities of Financial Chain Corporation, as the main asset of the company, is respect, equality, and protection of human rights. Diversity and inclusion are very important in our policy. The head of the company pays a lot of attention to the health and safety of employees, providing medical insurance. The staff has the right to free check-ups, the expenses of which are met by the company. Friendly relations among the employees developed in FCHAIN offices lead to productive teamwork, and a positive and helpful attitude toward co-workers, leading to effective work results. Despite gender, race, age, ethnicity, and other differences, all the employees are given equal rights to forget about their differences and feel like members of one big family.

Namig Gadirov, General Manager of Financial Chain Corporation, says: “We give equal rights and the same opportunities to our employees while recruiting them. First of all, we bring to their notice the company policy that is against discrimination and violence in our offices, as people can work and think well in a friendly and peaceful environment. The development of any company depends not only on the leaders but also on the employees they work with.”
