The foundation of the relationship between the Azerbaijan Republic and the State of Israel was laid when Israel recognized the state independence of Azerbaijan on December 25, 1991, and thus, it lead to the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries on April 7, 1992. And very soon, on August 29, 1993, Israel opened its Embassy in Azerbaijan. Since that time, the two countries have built close and strong relationships based on friendship, trust, mutual interests, and support between Israel and Azerbaijan, starting cooperation in all spheres, including the economy, military, culture, education, and other fields.
The Embassy of the State of Israel organized a reception to mark the 30th anniversary of the opening of its Embassy in Azerbaijan on September 13, 2022, at the Grand Ballroom of the Fairmont Hotel in Baku.
