On June 19, 2025, a forum on “Sustainable Development of Transport and Improvement of Infrastructure” was held with the participation of the management and responsible representatives of the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA). The main purpose of the event was to analyze the current state of road transport in the country, discuss existing challenges and outline directions for development.
During the forum, there were extensive discussions on freight and passenger transportation, parking infrastructure improvement, digitalization, enhancement of service quality in public transport and the transition to more environmentally sustainable transport models.
In their speeches, AYNA representatives stated that large-scale projects are being implemented to modernize the road transport system in line with modern requirements. These efforts include the application of innovative approaches, establishment of smart management systems, expansion of digital solutions and improvement of safety and environmental standards.
Particular attention was also paid to solving problems in the field of parking through the implementation of smart parking systems, reduction of traffic congestion in city centers, expansion of parking zones and automation of management processes.
At the end of the forum, participants emphasized that the ongoing reforms in the transport sector will contribute to the social-economic development of the country and increase citizen satisfaction.
