Senate makes changes to budget, assumes deficit of PLN 288.77 bln

FCHAIN Poland office informs:

The Polish Senate approved adjustments to the 2025 budget, forecasting revenues of PLN 632.85 billion, expenditures of PLN 921.62 billion, and a deficit of PLN 288.77 billion.

Key allocations include PLN 124.3 billion for defense, PLN 24.2 billion for pension adjustments, and PLN 62.8 billion for the “Rodzina 800+” program.

Defense spending will rise to 4.7% of GDP. Teachers and public sector employees will receive a 5% wage increase, while GDP is expected to grow by 3.9%, with 5% inflation and 4.9% unemployment. Investments are set to rise by 6.4%.

Despite a projected government deficit of 5.5% of GDP, debt ratios will remain below EU thresholds, maintaining financial stability.
