The Kyrgyzstanis won two silver and four bronze medals, and also set two national records in the Summer Olympic Games in Paris.
They took the 68th place in the team scoring.
The Olympics in Paris turned out to be the most successful for the Kyrgyzstanis. The Kyrgyz athletes won one bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Sydney, in Beijing — silver and two bronze, in Tokyo — two silver and a bronze.
“The Paris Olympics was the most successful and productive in the history of our country. 6 out of 16 of our athletes returned home with awards, according to the ratio of the number of medals to the number of participants, Kyrgyzstan took the first place among 206 countries. 16 athletes participated in the Kyrgyz team at the Olympics, and we are in 68th place in the overall medal ranking. Considering that we took 15th place among the 44 participating countries in Asia, this result is a source of special pride for us,” said President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov.
