Minimum Monthly Wages Increase in Azerbaijan

Ilham Aliyev, President of the Azerbaijan Republic signed an order on increasing the minimum monthly salary in Azerbaijan according to the implementation of the Presidential  “On Additional Measures of Protecting the Social Welfare of the Population” No.2965 dated October 16, 2021. Minimum monthly wage, i.e. the living wage of the Azerbaijani citizens is to be increased from 250 to 300 manats ($ 176.4) from January 1, 2022 covering 800 thousand people.

According to the order of the head of the state monthly official salary of teachers, principals, deputy principals of public educational institutions will increase by an average 20 %.

The minimum wages of people financed from the state budget will be brought in line with the above-mentioned decree as well.

Increase of wages will have significant positive effect both on families’ income levels, living conditions and their mood on New Year’s  Eve.
