The International Business Council held the IBC Golf Fest on July 1. Askar Sydykov, the IBC Executive Director, welcomed all participants and said the golf fest to be held after a long break due to the pandemic, resuming the tradition at the Maple Leaf Golf Club in a more casual format, taking into consideration weather and other factors.
The head of the IBC noted that though there was no game on a large golf field requiring certain skills and preparations, there were a number of entertainments. Mr Sydykov thanked all partners of the golf fest for the assistance in holding the fest- Kant TSHP LLC (general partner); Highland Exploration LLC, Kyrgyz Investment and Credit Bank CJSC (official partners); Secretariat of the Investment Council under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, RG Brands Kyrgyzstan LLC, Coca-Cola Bishkek Bottlers CJSC, Abdysh-Ata LLC, Alfa Telecom CJSC, Kyrgyzstan Insurance Company CJSC, Sierra Group of Companies LLC, Peasant economy “ECOMADE (special partners), as well as companies providing their products – the Martell branded products store, the Association of Kymyz Producers, the Cricket.kg cricket farm and the Kainar Aiskrim company, and wished friends, colleagues and partners to strengthen business ties there, have a good time. The IBC head mentioned every tenth major deal to be concluded on the golf course and expressed his certainty that new projects and new ideas would be born at the event.
Tanvir Aftab, Founder of Kant TSHP LLC, and Sanzhar Kaparov, Director-General – representatives of the general partner of the event thanked the IBC and mentioned a golf tournament plays an important role in establishing and developing business contacts.
Askar Sydykov presented certificates to new members, i.e. a branch of Freedom Finance JSC in Bishkek, Bishkek Transport Company LLC and Abdysh-Ata LLC before awarding prizes.
Businessmen usually being under pressure, relax and are ready for new beginnings in the fresh air and a friendly environment. Golf is said to be the favorite game of businessmen, CEOs and executives, as they are always at meetings, in the offices, or on business trips spending most of their time. The second reason for such people’s choosing golf is that they take into account each millimeter of the angle and think too much before making a decision while hitting a ball, as well as targeting at long distance, like in their daily jobs.
