On December 21, the “President Cup” running race was successfully held in Gabala with the organization of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Athletics Federation, and the Zafar Running Club. The event took place in Gabala, designated as the Sports Capital of Azerbaijan for 2025, within the framework of the Year of Constitution and Sovereignty, under the slogan “Proudly Forward.”
The race route started at Heydar Aliyev Park and covered a 12 km course towards Laza village and back, featuring a total elevation gain of 264 meters. Nearly 100 athletes participated in the race, demonstrating endurance, determination, and sportsmanship.
