On June 15, 2025, a marathon dedicated to the “Liberation Day” of Azerbaijan Republic was held in the city Guba, Azerbaijan, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Athletics Federation, the “ZAFAR” running club and sponsored by Financial Chain Corporation.
Totally 150 athletes competed in 4 age categories over distances of 10 km and 21 km. The marathon began in the village of “SABATLAR” in Guba, continued through several villages in the direction of “TENGEALTI” and concluded in the center of “SABATLAR” village.
Despite the rainy weather causing some difficulties on the roads, the athletes successfully completed the entire distance. The marathon took place in a positive, highly engaging atmosphere and in very interesting conditions.
Winners were awarded cash prizes by the “ZAFAR” running club and various gifts by Financial Chain Corporation.
