CONVENTION BETWEEN KAZAKHSTAN AND EGYPT

The draft Convention between the Government of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt on the elimination of double taxation and prevention of tax avoidance and evasion with respect to taxes on income was approved.

The Convention applies to individuals or Legal entities, who are residents of one or both Contracting States.

The taxes to which this Convention applies shall be:

in the Republic of Kazakhstan

  • corporate income tax;
  • individual income tax;

in the Arab Republic of Egypt

  • tax on personal income, including: income from wages and salaries, income from commercial and industrial activities, income from professional activities (independent personal services), income derived from immovable property;
  • tax on corporate income;
  • tax withheld at source;
  • additional taxes levied as a percentage of the above taxes or otherwise;
