On December 6, 2022, a “CEO Meetup” dedicated to “Cyber Security, Transition to Digital Transformation, and Application of Innovative Technologies,” organized by “Caspian Energy Club,” was held at Hyatt Regency Hotel. The Azerbaijan Cyber Security Organizations Association (ACSOA) was a co-organizer of the event. The event, the main purpose of which was the importance of cyber security in the field of digital transformation, transition to digital transformation, and application of innovative technologies, was attended by Farid Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Sustainable and Operational Social Provision Agency (DOST) under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Teymur Jafarov, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Azerbaijan Republic; Sanan Shabanov, Chief Investment Administrator of the Asian Development Bank (ADB); Fuad Allahverdiyev, Chief Executive Officer of AzerTelecom; Araz Ayyubov, CEO of IT Grup SRL AR branch; Mahir Yuksel, CEO of Interprobe, and representatives of other organizations attended the event.
Financial Chain Corporation was presented by Zaur Gadirov, Managing Partner; Nargiz Mammadova, Public Relations Manager, at the CEO Meetup.
The participants discussed the risks arising during digital transformation and the measures to prevent them, as well as the need for the creation and development of companies functioning in cyber security in Azerbaijan at panel discussions. Besides, they consider the opportunities of digital transformation, attacks on state information systems, recommendations for the development of a cyber security ecosystem using the experience of the Republic of Turkey, and the phenomenon of “brain drain”, and its impact on the development of our ICT sector. The problems of small and medium-sized businesses in the regions, as well as the state of modern digital transformation of the country banks, were among the issues discussed at the event.
Telman Aliyev, Chairman of the “Caspian Energy Club” and Chief Executive Director of the Group, expressed his gratitude to the participants and congratulated the ICT employees on their professional holiday. Besides, he told about the main activities of the club in the field of ICT and mentioned that CEC was planning to hold a “CEO MEET UP” every month, being very important not only in the field of ICT but also in industry, and marketing, etc. Mr. Aliyev spoke about the Caspian Energy Meetup dedicated to the topic of “green energy,” having recently been held.
