The amount of the indicator used to calculate taxes, duties, fines, mandatory payments, certain marginal values, and social benefits and allowances is to be increased by 6.25% from the current 64 somoni to 68 somoni, taking into account the inflation rate forecast for the corresponding year in Tajikistan in 2023, as stated in the law “On the State Budget of Tajikistan” adopted for 2023”.
The calculation indicator was increased every second year until 2019, but it started to be done annually. The calculation indicator for the country was as follows:
- 40 somoni in 2017-2018,
- 50 somoni in 2019,
- 58 somoni in 2020,
- 60 somoni in 2021.
- 64 somoni in 2022.
Making some amendments in the legislation of Tajikistan in 2008, the phrase “the amount of minimum wage” was replaced by “minimum wage”, and “the amount of monthly minimum wage” by “monthly minimum wage” correspondingly, and the law “On the Indicator for Calculations” was adopted.
