Starting in 2024, the State Tax Service of Kyrgyzstan will cease conducting on-site inspections. The announcement was made by the Chairman of the State Tax Service, Altynbek Abduvapov, during a session of the Jogorku Kenesh, highlighting that the service played a crucial role in initiating this moratorium.
“This applies not only to our agency but also to inspections carried out by law enforcement authorities. Checks will only be conducted if there is a criminal case. No inspection will be initiated without a criminal case,” clarified the head of the State Tax Service.
Abduvapov emphasized that all necessary information for monitoring the activities of entrepreneurs is readily available in the electronic database of the State Tax Service. This includes data on cash registers, which are displayed in real-time, ensuring effective monitoring.
Addressing recent protests by traders, Abduvapov clarified that “everyone working with cash registers is satisfied.” Additionally, he announced that starting from 2024, businesses with an annual turnover of up to 15 million will no longer be required to submit reports. Previously, this threshold was set at 8 million.
