Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll, ensuring compliance with Azerbaijani labor laws and regulations, and maintaining accurate employee records.
Your role
Payroll Processing:
- Calculate and process employee salaries, wages, bonuses, and other compensation elements.
- Ensure accurate deductions for taxes, social security, and other statutory contributions.
- Verify and reconcile timesheets and attendance records.
Compliance:
- Stay up-to-date with Azerbaijani labour laws and regulations related to payroll and taxation.
- Ensure all payroll processes comply with local laws and company policies.
- Prepare and submit required reports and filings to relevant authorities.
Data Management:
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including personal information, salary details, and tax-related data.
- Update employee records for changes in salary, benefits, or employment status.
Communication:
- Address employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, and deductions.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to resolve payroll-related issues.
Payroll Systems:
- Utilize payroll software to process payments and maintain payroll data.
- Implement improvements to streamline payroll processes and enhance accuracy.
Reporting:
- Generate payroll reports for management, finance teams and government.
- Prepare financial statements related to payroll expenses.
Benefits:
- Administer employee benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other deductions as applicable.
What are we looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Prior experience in payroll processing and tax compliance, preferably in Azerbaijan.
- Strong knowledge of Azerbaijani labour laws and tax regulations.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Discretion and the ability to handle sensitive employee information.
- Proficiency in Social Protection tolls and accounting software 1C 8.3.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel, word, and Outlook).
Requirements:
- Azerbaijani citizenship.
- Fluency in Azerbaijani, Russian and English languages.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ethical conduct and a high level of integrity.
- Flexibility to adapt to changes in the business environment.
