A Reception at Hyatt Regency Hotel in Baku dedicated to King’s Day of the Netherlands
The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands organized a ceremony dedicated to His Majesty King Willem-Alexander’s 55th birthday known as King’s Day at Hyatt Regency Hotel in Baku on April 27, 2022. H.E. Ms. Pauline Eizema, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Azerbaijan, Mr. Peter Kloprogge, her husband and Mr. Ilya Birich, Operational Manager of the Netherland Embassy took part at a reception. Mr.Khalaf Khalafov , Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Azerbaijan Republic, Ambassadors of the European countries to Azerbaijan were among the guests. All participants invited to the ceremony were asked to wear business attire with touch of Orange.
H.E.Ms. Pauline Eizema and Mr. Khalaf Khalafov made a short speech at the ceremony.
King’s Day is also known as “Orange-day”, the colour of the family name of the Royal House, Orange-Nassau. The day is celebrated in the Netherlands every year and King Willen and his family go the different part of the country to participate at the festivities every year. All Embassies of the Netherlands to different countries organize a reception to mark this day on April 27 every year as well. Should April 27 fall on Sunday, it is celebrated one day earlier.
