COP29 Azerbaijan

COP29, the 2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference, is taking place from November 11–22 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

This event brings together global leaders, climate experts, and representatives from various sectors to advance efforts to combat climate change. Key issues on the agenda include finalizing a new climate finance target beyond the previous $100 billion goal, operationalizing the Loss and Damage Fund to aid vulnerable countries, and enhancing national climate pledges (Nationally Determined Contributions or NDCs) with a focus on limiting warming to 1.5°C.

Notably, the conference will also address carbon markets and methane reduction, with specific days dedicated to topics such as climate finance, sustainable urbanization, and biodiversity.

The structure of COP29 includes two main zones: a Blue Zone for official negotiations and a Green Zone open to the public, featuring climate-focused exhibits and events.

Financial Chain Corporation along with providing quality services, is aware of its responsibility for the environment and the planet, and contributed to the protection of the environment and animals. The company placed more than 200 outdoor shelters, so-called houses for cats, to save them from rain, snow, and cold weather. This activity will have been realized by 2025, and FCHAIN is planning to place about 1000 outdoor shelters for cats and other animals.

Within the framework of 2024 – Green World Solidarity Year, Financial Chain Corporation, which is always actively involved in social projects and the protection of fauna and flora, also several times held a tree-planting action, in which hundreds of trees were planted.
