Success story with Valid Huseynov, FCHAIN Deputy General Director

A success story of an employee typically highlights how he achieved personal or professional growth, made a significant contribution to the company, or overcame challenges. Our today’s interviewee is Valid Huseynov, Deputy General Director of Financial Chain Corporation.

How long have you been working in FCHAIN?

I am currently in my 18^th year at FCHAIN. This company is my first job place where I’ve poured the best years of my youth. Over time, FCHAIN has become more than just a workplace — it feels like a family for me.

How did you progress within the company and what skills did you develop that contributed to your success?

After graduating from the university, I started my career with FCHAIN in 2007 as an intern. My path progressed from there as I took on roles as an accountant and the manager of the accounting department. In my time leading the department, I continuously expanded my expertise in finance and accounting, developed my managing skills and gained essential insights into legal frameworks. I was also entrusted with high-level management responsibilities from the General Director. In 2014, this dedication culminated in my promotion to Deputy General Director—a pivotal moment that shaped my career and set the foundation for my continued success in this role today.

Was there a specific turning point that led to your success and what project or task are you most proud of?

Early in my career at FCHAIN, under the guidance and support of our General Director Namig Gadirov, I had the invaluable opportunity to work closely with an experienced chief accountant in the international company which was one of the company’s biggest project. This project allowed me to delve into the intricacies of both local and international accounting practices. Through regular communication and collaboration with colleagues across various countries, we built strong international connections that laid the groundwork for both my professional growth and our company’s presence on the global stage. This project served as a foundation for my career and its impact remains an essential part of my success.

How do you stay motivated during difficult times?

In order to make the right decisions in difficult situations, first of all, it is necessary to avoid emotions and keep the nerves calm. Difficulties are temporary and figuring out what to do and how to do it in these difficult situations is a motivation for me. For example, no matter how difficult the problem is, I know that I will overcome it. Successful solving of difficult problems is already a motivation for me.

What habits or traits do you believe contributed the most to your success?

 First of all, I would like to express my deep gratitude for the trust shown to me by the FCHAIN management. Because the leader’s trust inspires the employee a lot. A wise manager directs the employee in the right way and it results in success. In addition, I every time increase my business knowledge. I am punctual, I do all work with time planning, deadline is important and try to analyze any issue in detail and make a decision. All those contributed the most to my success.

What advice would you give someone just starting out?

It is a proven fact that the best investment in order to develop and choose the right career path is investment in knowledge. My advice to new employees is to be patient in their career journey. Rather than rushing toward promotions or salary increases, focus on building a strong foundation and ensuring you’re fully prepared to embrace new challenges and innovations as they come. It is recommended that you first try to increase your knowledge and work on yourself. Then success will accompany you on this path. I also encourage everyone, no matter their profession or role, to engage in regular sport and physical activity. Sport not only supports overall health but also enhances memory and mental clarity.
