On November 4, 2026, FCHAIN representatives attended the panel discussion “Sustainability Reporting in Azerbaijan: Tracking Progress and Building Readiness”, jointly organised by the British Chamber of Commerce in Azerbaijan (BCCA) Sustainability and Energy Committee and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
The event brought together representatives from the public and private sectors to discuss the current state of sustainability reporting in Azerbaijan, emerging regulatory expectations and the challenges organisations face in preparing and using sustainability-related information.
FCHAIN representatives Valid Huseynov, Deputy General Director, and Emil Nazarov, Accounting Department Manager, attended the event.
The discussion focused on organisational readiness, information needs and the importance of moving beyond compliance-driven reporting towards creating long-term sustainable value. Participants also shared practical insights and explored how reliable sustainability information can support informed decision-making across different sectors.
The event also featured key findings from ACCA’s global research on sustainability reporting, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A session.
