World Refugee Day - FCHAIN

Every year on June 20th, the world stops to think about refugees — people who had to leave their homes because of war, danger, or disaster.

This year means even more. 2026 marks 75 years since the 1951 Refugee Convention was signed. That agreement said something simple but powerful: everyone has the right to look for safety. This year’s theme follows that same idea — “Until Everyone Is Safe.” It reminds us that none of us are truly safe while others are still searching for protection.

Right now, more than 120 million people around the world have lost their homes. Behind every number is a real person — a parent trying to keep their family safe, a child who just wants to go back to school, a family starting life over with almost nothing.

This World Refugee Day, FCHAIN stands with refugees everywhere. We want a future where your chances in life depend on who you are — not where you were born. A future where, one day, everyone is safe.
