150 young gymnasts at the "Pro Sport" tournament.

The “Pro Sport” gymnastics club successfully held another tournament dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev. Co-founder and head coach of “Pro Sport,” Leyla Guseinli, spoke about the tournament in an interview with azerisport.com.

“According to the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the year 2023 has been declared the year of remembrance of the great, brilliant politician Heydar Aliyev. The ‘Pro Sport’ team considered it their duty to honor the memory of the leader of the Azerbaijani people by organizing a sports tournament dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev,” said Guseinli.

She noted that the tournament was of an open nature. In addition to children from “Pro Sport,” other clubs also participated. In total, 150 young gymnasts from 5 sports clubs took part in the competition. Gymnasts from Ganja also came to the tournament. The competitions were held in different age categories. The children were born between 2019 and 2008.

As Guseinli pointed out, the goal of the tournament was to honor the memory of the great leader of the Azerbaijani people, effectively organize the leisure time of schoolchildren, and improve the gymnasts’ sports skills using modern technologies. “On behalf of the entire ‘Pro Sport’ team, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the president of the federation, Mehriban Aliyeva, for her significant contribution to the development of gymnastics in our country and for providing the opportunity to organize a big sports celebration for the younger generation.”

Financial Chain Corporation, the official sponsor of the “Pro Sport” team, provided support in organizing the tournament. Guseinli highlighted the company’s special contribution to the tournament: “Special thanks to Financial Chain Corporation for their assistance in organizing the tournament. You are not just giving material values. You are giving our little ones a happy childhood.”

It should be noted that the “Pro Sport” club was established in September 2022 but has already managed to gather two hundred children. The club has already held several open tournaments and has also participated in a number of international tournaments. The “Pro Sport” club offers classes in artistic gymnastics for girls, acrobatics for boys, as well as ballet and choreography for girls. Currently, the club trains over 200 children.
