Cooperation in the economic and humanitarian spheres was discussed at the 4th meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kyrgyz Republic, held in Baku on August 16, 2022. The meeting was chaired by Ali Ahmedov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Co-chairman of the commission, and Bakyt Torobayev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The officials of the two states expressed their interest in the establishment of the Azerbaijani –Kyrgyzstan Development Fund, which was declared after the 4th meeting of the intergovernmental commission of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan. The parties stated the Azerbaijani-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund to serve as a powerful impulse for the activation and broadening of cooperation in the sphere of investment, the strengthening of business relations, and small and medium enterprise development.
The issues of cooperation in the fields of trade and economy, culture and humanitarian, and transport logistics were discussed at the meeting as well.
Besides, an agreement was reached to prepare the project of a-Five Year Complex Program for the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan for the 5th Intergovernmental Commission’s meeting in 2023.
